Time To Play: Yamaha Introduces PSR-E403 Portable Keyboard
— Sound Control Knobs Offer Customized Performance —

BUENA PARK, Calif. — Yamaha Portable Keyboards introduces a new option for the beginner, school music lab, church musician, and general music hobbyist in the market for a portable keyboard with the PSR-E403, which replaces current model PSR-293.

PSR-E403 Keyboard
The PSR-E403 makes it easy to play, easy to learn.
Loaded with features for learning to play – including Yamaha's renowned Portable Grand and the updated Yamaha Education Suite (Y.E.S.) – the PSR-E403 also contains a number of breakthrough features for when it's time to play.

Those new additions include Sound Control Knobs that give the user real time control over effects, filters, EQ and tempo. New colors from different musical styles can be added with the 50 arpeggiator patterns.

Recording original music is fast and easy with the 6-track/5-song capacity on-board sequencer. An integrated Easy Song Arranger changes the style of a song with the press of a button, while Music Database will set up the keyboard by song title.

With Yamaha's Performance Assistant technology, anyone can play a song – even someone with only very basic musical skills. While the keys are struck in time with the music, the notes are corrected to match chords of the song being played. No matter what keys that you hit on the keyboard, the correct notes will play.

Other highlights include USB computer connectivity for transferring new songs for learning and style data for playing. The PSR-E403 can be enjoyed through the built-in two-way speakers or through the privacy of headphones.

"The PSR-E403 combines traditional learning tools with hands-on performance features." says Mark Anderson, marketing manager, Portable Keyboards. "It's really a product that anyone, of any ability, can learn to use and enjoy."

The PSR-E403 became available in June 2006 with an MSRP of $349.95.
