DSXT11
This Kit includes an extra drum pad. The 8"RHP80.

DTXTREME
The DTXTREME offers drummers a full function drum trigger system complete with an on-board AWM2 (Advanced Wave Memory) 64-polyphony GM compliant MIDI tone generator and 2-track sequence. This powerful system can be used in conjunction with either our newly designed drum pads -utilizing real drum heads for a totally natural feel- or drum pads like the TP80S, etc. or trigger pickups such as the DT 10/20, etc.

Drum Trigger
The DTXTREME uses two modes for play, the drum kit play mode and the chain play mode.
  • In the drum play kit mode, simply select one of the many available drum kits and play. New pads designed especially for use with the DTXTREME utilize real drumheads. Offering a totally natural feel plus greater playing potential, the combined system is able to accurately detect the point on the pad where it was struck allowing for greater reproduction of the slightest nuances. Even brush play is possible making it a truly viable substitute for acoustic drums.
  • The chain mode allows preprogrammed kits to be recalled and played in a pre-defined order. This gives you the advantage of quickly switching from one kit to the next while performing.
  • Also, stack and alternate modes give drummers a chance to break free from their rhythmic confines and play cords and melodies. On a single pad you can create chords of up to 6 notes with the stack mode or melodies of up to 9 notes with the alternate mode.
  • Trigger edit mode provides settings like muffling, snare tension, etc., allowing the drummer to create more specific sounds for special needs. The system's quick response also makes it perfect for professional use.

    Sequencer
When you're creatively inspired an on-board sequencer provides 2-tracks for recording MIDI data on channels1-16. Songs can be recorded in either real-time or step modes while editing can be performed on single measures or over one track. A mute function can be used as a practice aid allowing you to switch off the whole drum part (or track 1 or 2) and play along while the Groove Check function checks your timing accuracy.

The DTXTREME is loaded with 120 on-board songs including many of the latest genres like Drum 'n Bass, DJ Loops, etc. Simultaneous playback of a maximum of 4 songs is possible with the main song controlled (start / stop, etc.) from the panel or via MIDI while the other 3 songs can be individually controlled by trigger input from a pad (tempos are determined by the main song). The sequence's note chase mode provides added possibilities allowing the playback of the song, one measure at a time for each stroke on the pad.

    Tone Generator
The DTXTREME incorporates a newly developed sound chip and expanded drum sound wave memory that has a capacity 3.5 times greater than the original DTX system. All drum wave data has been re-sampled at a higher resolution and YAMAHA acoustic drum sounds such as the Maple Custom, Recording Custom, etc. have been added offering the richest, most expensive sound quality possible. The DTXTREME delivers total expressive power allowing the drummer to accurately play everything. Although the DTXTREME is a dedicated electronic percussion system, it's 64 polyphonic AWM@(advance Wave Memory) GM compatible tone generator allows playback of MIDI song data and access to YAMAHA'S XG format.

    MIDI Transmit / Receive
Full MIDI compatibility allows the DTXREME to easily integrate into existing MIDI systems or to expand into a larger system at a later date. The DTXTREME transmits both trigger and sequence data while data received from an external sequencer can be used to drive the 16 part internal GM compatible tone generator.
Drum kit, chain, song and system data can be both transmitted and received via MIDI bulk dump and parameter changes are received as well.

    Smart Media
The DTXTREME uses Smart Media 3.3V cards for data storage. These convenient cards can be used to
save / load any data such as drum kits, drum wave data, drum voice data, etc., as well as increase drum kit memory since the DTXTREME can read and use data directly from the card. That also allows for the direct playback of Standard MIDI File. Wave data which can also be written from the cards to internal memory (this operation can also be done automatically).
  • Foot Pedal (DFP880) not included.
