The PSR-350 comes complete with a remarkable new Music Database. Simply choose from over 200 song titles and the entire keyboard prepares itself for that song; it couldn't be easier. It also helps that the PSR-350 includes a beefed up version of the popular Yamaha Education Suite2.
The sonic quality has also been ramped up with an incredible selection of 128 General MIDI voices, 480 Extended voices and significant increases in voice memory and new bass ports. Plus, the PSR-350 gives you the ability to write Standard MIDI files to disk so you can send music over the Internet for others to enjoy. |
Music Database set up the entire keyboard by selecting a song title. Learning the many sounds and features of a Portable Keyboard has never been easier. Press the Music Database button, select a song and start playing. Each database title configures the PSR-350 with the most appropriate instrument selection, style accompaniment, effect settings and tempo. |
Yamaha Education Suite 2 with Vocal Cues: Speaks to you in English. The Yamaha Education Suite 2 will guide you through learning to play. The keyboard teaches you songs (with included songbook) one hand at a time. If you make a mistake, the PSR-350 waits for you to find the correct note and then continues on. At the end of the song, the keyboard will talk and tell you how well you did. This amazing guide system teaches timing, note reading and chords in seven steps. Included in the keyboard are 100 songs for you to choose from. |
Floppy disk drive to play and record songs on disk in standard MIDI format: The PSR-350 has a built-in 6-track sequencer, which allows you to record songs and play them back. There are 5 User Song locations for you to save to or you can save your songs onto a floppy disk that is compatible with other instruments (you could play it back on another General MIDI keyboard) and the Internet. You can attach your performances to e-mail and send them to your friends and relatives. Because the PSR-350 is General MIDI compatible, they will be able to hear your songs playing back using their computer sound cards. |
106 Accompaniment styles play any type of music: Yamaha introduces some great new styles in the PSR-350. No matter what style of music you want to play, we're sure you'll find what you're looking for. Over 100 styles from standard 8 and 16-beat to ballad, swing and country, are provided all of which have been arranged by top professional musicians from around the world. On top of this, you can expand the list of styles via the floppy disk drive. Many people from around the world are sharing styles that they have created on Yamaha keyboards using the Internet. Just type "Yamaha Styles" into your search engine, copy the file(s) to a floppy disk and insert the disk into your PSR-350. It's that easy. You can also purchase additional styles for your keyboard from Yamaha MusicSoft. |

4MB Wave ROM adds realism to voices: The addition of extra Wave ROM allows for more voices 608 voices total (128 GM Panel and 480 Extended) and they sound more realistic. For example, many keyboards in this price range offer you about 9 different guitar sounds. The PSR-350 has 38. You can choose from jazz, nylon string, chorus, overdriven, muted, 12-string, steel, guitar harmonics and more. This same extended voice set applies to all the groups of sounds in the keyboard like piano, organ, strings, bass and drums. The 61-note touch-sensitive keyboard gives you the expressive ability to play your songs with just the right sound, timbre and volume. |

The PSR-350 features Chord Dictionary, which makes it simple to learn chords. The chords are displayed in the backlit LCD screen on a music staff and on a picture of the keyboard. The keyboard even tells you when you play it right. There are 12 Drum kits to create percussion tracks including Standard Kits, Room & Rock Kits, Electronic & Analog Kits, Dance, Brush, Symphonic and Sound FX Kits. On the back of the keyboard are MIDI In & Out jacks so that you can connect it directly to a computer (requires a MIDI interface like the UX16 see under accessories). There is also a Sustain Pedal Jack (sustain pedal optional). And finally, Stereo 2-way speakers with bass ports create a dynamic sound system. |
