Incorporating a Yamaha grand piano keyboard and action, the DGT7 offers a natural touch and delicate control that is far superior to that of conventional digital pianos. Optical key and hammer sensors capture the subtlest nuances of expression with impeccable precision, while pedal sensors register foot control as well.

DGT7 piano tones are stereo sampled from the Yamaha concert grand, using 30 megabytes of memory – far more than standard digital pianos. Incredibly lifelike, they even recreate the harmonic resonance from other strings that occurs when using the sustain pedal. Reverb effects simulate chamber and hall acoustics, and the 60W X 2, six-speaker audio system delivers full, powerful sound.

With the DGT7, you can record and play back your performance, or listen to great artists perform 'live' on disk, complete with realistic key movement. You can cancel key movement to play along, change playback tempo or transpose into other keys, even play one hand while the DGT7 plays the other.

A built-in state-of-the-art Yamaha XG tone generator provides hundreds of instrumental and specialty voices, plus sophisticated digital effects. It also works with external MIDI equipment, and lets you listen to fully orchestrated concerts available on disk.

A simple, single-cable connection lets you link your DGT7 with the power of your PC. This allows unlimited song storage capacity, along with access to a vast range of computer software, peripherals and online musical resources.

Unlike an acoustic piano, the DGT7 lets you control the volume of live or recorded performance, or play and listen in privacy by plugging in up to two pairs of headphones. It never needs tuning, adjusts to the pitch of other instruments, and connects to external MIDI and audio components.
