Made in the USA

The SM15IV is manufactured in the United States. The Yamaha factory in Thomaston, Georgia, uses the latest computer controlled woodworking machines. This assures the quality you have come to expect from us.

15" Woofer

Massive magnet structure for high efficiency and high power handling. Cast Aluminum frame is more rigid with non-flexing design. Kapton® Voice Coil Former resists overheating, lightweight material specially made for this purpose. Vented Pole Piece allows for cooling and high power handling. Flatwound Copper Voice Coil is more densely concentrated in the magnetic field.

Handles and Sockets

Rugged Steel Handles made for easy handling. The carpeted SM15IV includes a Pole Socket allowing for easy stand/pole mounting.

Tweeter

Contains Yamaha's own Phasing Plug which provides a smooth high frequency response. Compression Driver is the largest magnet structure in its class with high power handling. Titanium Diaphragm has the lightest, most rigid material currently available.
