Now you can extend the power of your Yamaha Disklavier™ or Disklavier GranTouch™ piano. Ideal for commercial applications, the new EMK1 upgrade kit from Yamaha provides sixteen times the standard internal Disklavier memory capacity, along with a convenient built-in clock/timer, to give you an expanded range of programming options extended playback performance.

The EMK1 upgrade kit adds fifteen additional one-megabyte 'Memory Disks' to the Disklavier's internal memory, increasing overall memory capacity to a total of sixteen megabytes. This means that you can now store vast amounts of prerecorded music for instantaneous access, and host hours of spellbinding Disklavier performance without the need to switch floppy disks.

You can designate individual Memory Disks for musical selections to suit specific moods or occasions, group multiple Memory Disks in any combination for continuous chain-play performance, and store up to nine different group selections for quick and easy access.

A built-in timer makes entertaining your guests even simpler. The EMK1 lets you program your Disklavier piano to play certain sets at specified times - automatically. You might set it to play classical music during lunch and dinner hours, for example, with popular tunes in the afternoon and spirited jazz selections after dinner. Or enliven the surroundings throughout the day, with a different tune every hour.

You can register up to 99 sets of music and timer settings. Best of all, operation can be totally unattended. There's no need for anyone to even touch a button, just set the timer and your Disklavier will do the rest.

The EMK1 provides an expanded range of operating functions, with an easy-to-use setup menu. It lets you repeat one of more of the Memory Disks, or replay an individual tune after the disk has finished playing. It also allows you to copy music between different media - double density or high-density floppy diskettes and internal Memory Disks - format disks individually, and copy or delete all songs on a disk.

The clock/timer displays the current time when the Disklavier is not playing and automatically "time stamps" new recordings to facilitate PC editing.
