Maya has been studying piano under her teacher Mrs. Rumi Smith for 13 years. Over the years, she has won prizes at the Alaska Piano Competition, MTNA Piano Competition, Aloha International Piano Competition, and American Piano Forum Chopin Competition.

In this Master Class session, Ms. Suzuki performs select passages of her repertoire for Alexander Braginsky and engages in an in-depth discussion of her performance. You'll get to hear valuable insights from this world-renowned educator and professor as he evaluates and critiques Ms. Suzuki's interpretations of famous classical works.

Offering his audiences a repertoire that extends from baroque to avant-garde, Alexander Braginsky has performed more than 20 world premieres, most of which were commissioned and written for him. A professor on the faculty of the International Music Summer Course in Vienna, Austria, from 1995 to 2006, Mr. Braginsky regularly gives numerous master classes around the world, including at the International Keyboard Institute at Mannes College and Beijing International Music Festival.
