Emerging Scandinavian/British jazz-trio Phronesis has gained International interest since their European debut in 2005. Comprised of founder and bass player Jasper Hoiby, pianist Ivo Neame, and drummer Anton Eger, Phronesis has developed a strong reputation as one of the best contemporary jazz-piano trios. They have received honors including the "London Jazz Award" at the London Awards for Art and Performance, and a 5-star review in BBC Music Magazine for their fourth album Walking Dark--in which all members contributed to the writing of the album. Phronesis was also nominated for "Best Jazz Ensemble" in the Parliamentary Jazz Awards, and has been chosen as one of six groups worldwide for the International Jazz Festivals Organization new talent support program. This is the first of two sets.
