Twenty-one performers from around the world converged in Minnesota in early July for the 2013 e-Piano Junior Competition. Christopher Son Richardson, a fourteen year old from California, captured 5th prize. Christopher has won awards in competitions from 2009 to the present. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, among other notable places, and has attended multiple master classes at the Aspen Music Festival and Portland Piano International Festival. This segment consists of his Semi-Finals performance, which features the works of Bach, Beethoven, Chopin and Prokofiev. This uncut, unedited performance was previously recorded at Newhall Auditorium on the campus of Shattuck-St. Mary's School in Faribault, MN on Wednesday, July 10, 2013.
