The Monterey Jazz Festival is the longest-running annual jazz event in the world, which features over 500 artists performing on eight stages spread over the 20-acre Monterey Fairgrounds in Monterey, CA. Enjoy this LIVE broadcast performance of the Sarah McKenzie Quintet, led by Australian pianist, vocalist and composer Sarah McKenzie. McKenzie, hailed a ‘once-in-a-generation talent,’ has received multiple recognitions including a full-tuition scholarship to Berklee College of Music. Her music pedigree also includes mentorships by legends such as Graeme Lyall, Jamie Oehlers and in particular James Morrison—who she continued to work with extensively through Morrison’s Generations in Jazz talent development program. McKenzie continues to rise in the Australian music scene and recently released her latest album Close Your Eyes--which won the 2012 “Best Jazz Album” ARIA Award. Don’t miss this exciting Monterey Jazz Festival debut! This uncut, unedited performance is broadcast LIVE from the Coffee House at the 2014 Monterey Jazz Festival in Monterey, CA on September 20, 2014.
