Twenty-one performers from around the world converged in Minnesota in early July for the 2013 Junior Piano-e-Competition. Carmen Knoll, who by the age of ten won over 25 piano competitions, captured Second Prize and is currently studying in the pre-college division of The Julliard School of Music and Arts. She has continued to receive a multitude of honors including first place at the 2nd Asia-Pacific International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition, first place at the Normann Julliard Piano Scholarship Competition and first place at the LIMSA International Music Competition. She has also been featured in solo performances at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. Enjoy her Semi-Finals performance, which includes the works of Ludwig van Beethoven, Maurice Ravel and Frederic Chopin. This uncut, unedited performance was previously recorded at Newhall Auditorium on the campus of Shattuck-St. Mary's School in Faribault, MN on Wednesday, July 10, 2013.
