Jazz pianist, singer and songwriter Rachel Eckroth, whose work is recognized for its unique and eclectic creativity rooted in a jazz foundation, has been a fixture in the jazz scene since high school. After obtaining her MFA in jazz performance from Rutgers University, Eckroth released her first solo album “Mind.” The release of this album received much praise; which only inspired her to dive deeper into her music, immersing herself in the studio to perfect her lyrics and ideas. The result of this creative journey was her second solo album “Let Go”—a work of musical depth, influenced by a fusion of jazz, pop and R&B sounds. Her most recent release, “Gold,” also continues to exemplify the true artistry and melodic beauty of Eckroth’s work. Eckroth is joined by talented jazz vocalist Khani Cole, among others, for this LIVE broadcast of an evening of brilliant music that will appeal to both mainstream and smooth jazz audiences alike. This performance is broadcasted LIVE from the Musical Instrument Museum.
