Guitarist Marty Ashby and trumpet master Sean Jones, come together to perform a holiday jazz celebration program. Accompanied by a full seventeen-piece band, the performance features classics, new twists on your holiday favorites, as well as other special surprises. Ashby, a musician and producer, has performed as a guitarist with many of the greats including Slide Hampton, Nancy Wilson and The Dizzy Gillespie All-Star Big Band, and has produced over 2,000 concerts and 40 recordings on the MCG Jazz Label. Jones, whose performance will mark his debut at the MIM, is one of the leading jazz artists of today and performs with talented artists such as Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock and Marcus Miller. Saxophonist and arranger Mike Tomaro joins the band as well, premiering several new arrangements. This performance is broadcasted LIVE from the MIM.
