Pianists from around the world converge in Fairbanks to compete in the prestigious 2018 Alaska International Piano-e-Competition for more than $65,000 in prizes. The field is narrowed to six performers, each of whom will perform a combination of solo repertoire plus one of the following Piano Trios in this semi-final round: Ludwig van Beethoven, Piano Trio in D Major, Op. 70 No. 1; Anton Arensky, Piano Trio in D Minor, Op. 32 or Felix Mendelssohn, Piano Trio No. 1 in D Minor, Op. 49. This uncut, unedited performance will be broadcast LIVE from Davis Concert Hall in Fairbanks, AK.
