Simply put the Clavinova is fantastic technology

North Carolina Music Academy Adds Clavinova to its Curriculum The Lake Norman Music Academy in Mooresville, NC recently purchased a Clavinova® CVP96 digital piano that will be employed in the academys advanced keyboard technique and songwriting/publishing classes. The academys commitment to providing the highest quality music education extends to the utilization of the latest technology. This was a major factor in school director Monica Pooles decision to add the Clavinova digital piano to her keyboard program.
Of the many innovative features found on the Clavinova, Poole was most impressed with the Clavinovas Advanced Wave Memory tone generation and CD quality samples of actual instruments, the capability to provide accompaniment to keyboard students, and the ability to interface with computers. The academy has also acquired a variety of music publishing software that can be used with the Clavinova. Students and faculty can also download a vast number of MIDI files available via the Internet. Now our students can learn basic songwriting techniques and apply them by composing on the digital keyboard. They can save the results to the onboard disk drive, then manipulate them through software that will edit and print their work, says Poole. Simply put, the Clavinova is fantastic technology in both the teaching environment and the academys performing arts program. Performing arts classes will greatly benefit from the Clavinovas versatility, being able to create everything from full orchestral arrangements to complex rhythmic patterns. The latter will be perfect for the dance component of the program. Lake Norman Music Academy is the areas only full-service music
instruction facility. With more than 2,000 students, the Academy offers
group and individual music, arts, and drama instruction, as well as after
school and preschool programs.
