New CVP100 Series

Yamaha Clavinova CVP107

Many of the distinguishing performance features that make Clavinova digital pianos so popular are found in the CVP100 series as well, including the large onboard LCD screen to help performers navigate the vast options. Through the LCD screen, performers can select the popular Guide Control, offering players a visual way to develop rhythmic precision. Guide Control displays a miniature keyboard and piano roll, and when the playback software progresses, the notes in the piano roll scroll to show the user when to play while the guide lamps over the keyboard show which note to play. Also available are Pianist Styles, an auto accompaniment function that reacts to the players chording for authentic, familiar piano styles. What’s more, the Clavinova gives the player access to three guide methods: Easy Play allows the user to practice rhythm before learning the notes; Next Note shows where to play the note on the keyboard; and Sound Repeat plays one phrase repeatedly, allowing the player to practice and master a difficult passage. Rounding out the standard features are: the 88-key Graded Hammer (GH) effect keyboard; onboard digital effects and demo songs; built-in reverb; and Advanced Wave Memory (AWM) tone generation.

Designed to fit in any home or professional decor, the CVP103, CVP105, and CVP107 models come in a dark rosewood woodgrain finish. The CVP109 is housed in a black polished cabinet and the CVP103M is available in a lustrous mahogany finish.

“The expressiveness that these instruments are capable of providing is truly amazing,” says Yamaha Piano Marketing Manager Ray Reuter. “We are certain that this new line-up will have wide appeal to retailers and customers alike.”

Clavinova Festivals Continue to Inspire, Innovate, and Teach

Yamaha’s commitment to introducing music educators and students to the best in music technology is readily apparent in the successful Clavinova Festivals. Children today are exposed to such a multitude of sophisticated technologies that educators are discovering the need to embrace technology and use it in a manner that will motivate and inspire their students. When it comes to music, nothing is more powerful in moving a child than when the instrument the child is playing stimulates his or her creativity and imagination. The Clavinova® digital piano expands students’ creative expression and, as a result, adds to their overall excitement of playing the piano. The numerous digital effects, which supply a full orchestra of sampled instruments plus a myriad of advanced auto accompaniment features, are a few of the many innovative technologies that students heading into the millennium can relate to.
