Clavinova Festivals Quickly Becoming Tradition

Clavinova Festivals are quickly becoming an annual event at Yamaha retailers throughout the country, and numerous Yamaha retailers kick-started their year by hosting the program that has become a staple within the Yamaha family. The Clavinova Festival was designed to showcase the talents of the participants on the multi-dimensional Yamaha Clavinova CVP digital piano.

Among the many stores who have hosted a Clavinova Festival since the new year was Do Wray Mi in Lemoyne, PA. Last February, Do Wray Mi hosted its first Clavinova Festival, and the event received tremendous support. The non-competitive Festival showcased the talents of 153 students ranging in ages from six to 18.

Robert Scott of Do Wray Mi recommends taking part in Clavinova Festivals. “Of all the events Yamaha sponsors, this is one of the most fun,” exclaims Scott. “Parents, teachers, and participants were all excited to be involved.”

Do Wray Mi is making the Clavinova Festival an annual event.

Music Exchange in Newcastle, CA also recently hosted a non-competitive Clavinova Festival for the second year in a row. Eighty-five participants ranging in ages from six to 18 participated in the event last March. Like most Festivals, each participant received a T-shirt.

“The kids love preparing for and performing at the Festival,” says Julianne Swinney from Music Exchange. “The energy that is generated by the parents as they watch their children perform is incredible. We definitely plan to host another Festival next year.”
