Kansas City Star Spotlights YAMAHA As Residents Favorite Brand
Kansas City residents have once again chosen Yamaha Clavinovas as their favorite brand of digital pianos, as determined by The Kansas City Star newspapers 1999 Favorite Brands poll. To Harry Reed, manager at Schmitt Music in Overland Park, its a simple matter of quality. You just dont hear anything bad about Yamaha, he says. People are enthusiastic, almost evangelical, about the brand. Word of mouth is what it comes down to. Schmitt Music, Yamaha dealer for western Missouri and northern Kansas, has sold enough Clavinova digital pianos over the years to send them to the top of the poll two years running. Reed is proud that 20,000 people in theKansas City area have once again given Yamaha and Schmitt Music their vote of approval.
Were feeling pretty good about it, he admits. Knowing that other people have had a good experience helps new consumers to be more comfortable with their choice. Its a good barometer of our success, and our service to the customer. The Clavinova digital pianos versatility and realistic touch and tone make it a popular choice for any player, regardless of skill level, and works well in many settings. A lot of our Kansas City churches, restaurants, and piano teachers prefer the Yamaha brand, notes Reed. Schmitt Musics longstanding relationship with Yamaha includes participating
in an annual Clavinova Festival, which showcases the instruments
capabilities through performances and friendly competition. The Clavinova
can record and play back selections using floppy disks and can reproduce
hundreds of other instrument voices.
