When it comes to digital pianos, Yamaha remains the industry leader. For the third consecutive year, the ClavinovaĆ digital piano will receive Musical Merchandise Review (MMR) magazine’s Dealers’ Choice Award. The new CVP series was voted overall "1997 Product of the Year" in the publication’s annual poll of music dealers nationwide. MMR will present the Award at the upcoming NAMM International Music Market in January 1998.

The popular Clavinova CLP and CVP series of digital pianos will share the display at the Yamaha booth this year with the highly successful Clavinova Festivals that have swept the nation in celebration of making music with the Clavinova. In addition, an innovative computer merchandising system complete with CD-ROM Interactive Product Tours will be showcased for retailers to preview.

Since unveiling its newest Clavinova CVP digital piano line last summer, Yamaha has received record orders for the CVP98, CVP96, CVP94 and CVP92. Units have been shipping steadily to

dealers who were sold on the expanded and innovative performance capabilities of the new models. With added features, unsurpassed ease of use, enhanced cabinets and displays, and attractive pricing, the new Clavinova series appeals to both beginning and advanced players, where it is equally at home in the project studio, family room, house of worship or classroom. The unique Clavinova CVP guide lamps and the Yamaha Advanced Wave Memory voices are joined in the new CVP series with nearly 700 stunning XG sounds, a karaoke lyric display, PC interface and high power amplification.

What continues to win praise for the CVP series as well as the CLP811 is the Graded Hammer (GH) action, which lends acoustic piano touch with all the conveniences of a digital instrument. Together with the CLP411, -511, -611, these models also offer an easy personal computer connection for added versatility with educational software and the Internet. Of course, the Advanced Wave Memory (AWM) tone generation in all Clavinova digital piano models offers a wide range of artistic expression that makes them the world’s favorite.

"The Clavinova digital piano represents the latest technological advances at the best value, which is why it remains the choice of beginning to advanced musicians," said Yamaha Piano Marketing Manager Ray Reuter. "We are proud to retain our position as the industry leader."  green.GIF (51 bytes)
