digital pianos captured MMRs Dealer

third consecutive year, the ClavinovaĆ digital piano will receive Musical Merchandise
Review (MMR) magazines Dealers Choice Award. The new CVP series was voted
overall "1997 Product of the Year" in the publications annual poll of
music dealers nationwide. MMR will present the Award at the upcoming NAMM International
Music Market in January 1998.
The popular Clavinova CLP and CVP series of digital pianos
will share the display at the Yamaha booth this year with the highly successful Clavinova
Festivals that have swept the nation in celebration of making music with the Clavinova. In
addition, an innovative computer merchandising system complete with CD-ROM Interactive
Product Tours will be showcased for retailers to preview.
Since unveiling its newest Clavinova CVP digital piano line
last summer, Yamaha has received record orders for the CVP98, CVP96, CVP94 and CVP92.

dealers who were sold on the
expanded and innovative performance capabilities of the new models. With added features,
unsurpassed ease of use, enhanced cabinets and displays, and attractive pricing, the new
Clavinova series appeals to both beginning and advanced players, where it is equally at
home in the project studio, family room, house of worship or classroom. The unique
Clavinova CVP guide lamps and the Yamaha Advanced Wave Memory voices are joined in the new
CVP series with nearly 700 stunning XG sounds, a karaoke lyric display, PC interface and
high power amplification. What continues to win
praise for the CVP series as well as the CLP811 is the Graded Hammer (GH) action, which
lends acoustic piano touch with all the conveniences of a digital instrument. Together
with the CLP411, -511, -611, these models also offer an easy personal computer connection
for added versatility with educational software and the Internet. Of course, the Advanced
Wave Memory (AWM) tone generation in all Clavinova digital piano models offers a wide
range of artistic expression that makes them the worlds favorite.
