Elegance with Cutting-Edge Technology
(continued from page 1)

Popular as a compliment to any decor, the elegantly stylish CVP600 also offers unlimited creativity with an array of instrument voices, large displays, on-board help, karaoke, accompaniment styles, and guide modes.

With 88 keys and Graded Hammer (GH) action, the CVP600 has unrivaled acoustic piano realism. An internal XG tone module, featuring over 600 high-quality Advanced Wave Memory (AWM) sounds, allows control of each CD-quality instrument sample by touch-sensitive keys.

Easily accessible on-board features and help menus — with large, detailed LCD displays in five languages — let players of all skill levels spend time making music, not studying manuals. It’s a snap to master difficult passages: helpful Guide Controls highlight notes and when to play them with guide lamps and a scrolling piano roll. For karaoke fun, the LCD display doubles as a “lyric sheet” and the microphone input routes incoming vocals or effects through built-in speakers. Players can also instantly create their own arrangements using over 100 musical styles.

The CVP600 on-board disk drive raises the industry standard for compatibility by reading virtually any MIDI file, including Yamaha formats like PianoSoft Plus™, MusicSoft®, ClaviSoft™, and Disk Orchestra Collection files as well as Tune1000, software with lyrics and Standard MIDI Files. A PC interface directly connects both Windows and Macintosh personal computers with music software for editing, printing, downloading, or song mixing.

“Keyboard Split” lets each hand play separate instruments and “Dual Mode” allows the combination of any two voices for rich, original sounds. And, with 600 voices, a mixer, equalizer, and 16 digital tracks for multi-part recording, options are nearly unlimited — players can even store songs on disk for instant playback, anytime!

“We’ve been anxiously waiting for something like this, it’s what people have been looking for,” says Barbara Lauts of Lauts Family Music Center in Merritt Island, FL. “The CVP600 opens up a broader market because many people don’t have room for a grand piano — now everything they need is in a small, yet elegant, package. Also, because it is stringless, our customers can have the traditional grand piano look without worrying about the Florida humidity. I think we will have people lined up for the CVP600.”
