We feel we made the best decision in selecting the Clavinova.

Dreams Come True with the Clavinova Thanks to the dream of one woman, residents at Stoughton House, a home for the elderly in Windsor, VT, are enjoying the sounds of music on the Clavinova digital piano.
It all started when area resident Mary Larmie came to me one day, says Barbara Flinn, activities coordinator for Stoughton House. Mary said to me, I dont want you to think Im foolish, but I had a dream, and in that dream, I helped Stoughton House get a new piano. Determined to see her dream become a reality, Larmie launched a fundraising campaign in the small town of Windsor. After sending letters to local newspapers and businesses, she raised enough money to purchase a CLP411 for Stoughton House from Frederick Johnsons Pianos in nearby White River Junction. We feel we made the best decision in selecting the Clavinova, says Flinn. Its great for resident homes like Stoughton House because it can be played with headphones, and its lighter than an acoustic piano, making it easier to move. Its perfect for our needs. The residents love it. Each morning they ask for the Clavinova to be turned on so they can sing songs that take them back to their younger years, like Sentimental Journey and Danny Boy. They also enjoy the Clavinovas songs from Chopin, Liszt, and Bach. Music is so important to the elderly, says Flinn. It fills them with renewed energy. Larmie and The Bugby Troopers, a group of seniors who entertain the elderly in homes throughout the area, gave a special performance during the dedication ceremony for the Clavinova. Showing their appreciation, Stoughton House residents presented Larmie with a commemorative plaque for all her efforts. I finally did it, says Larmie. My dream really came
true.
