Everyone Walks Away a Winner at Clavinova Festivals

The results are pouring in from Clavinova Festivals throughout the country and everyone is winning. Teachers are embracing the technology and students are using their imaginations to paint musical pictures with the Clavinova digital piano.

“The Festival helps local music teachers become more sophisticated in the use of the Clavinova,” says Dwight Cuppy of Jenkin’s Music in Overland Park, KS. “Each year they grab on to the technology more and more.”

To generate additional excitement, Jenkin’s held an innovative Clavinova Kids’ Camp as a training ground for participants prior to its Festival this fall. The 70 students who attended the one-day event learned how to select, play, and record original orchestrations with the Clavinova. Jenkins also offered introductory workshops for teachers who have never before used the Clavinova.

The music teachers were also a big part of the Clavinova Festival held by Maytan Music last September. “Not only does the Festival provide a fun venue for kids to perform, it provides a non-pressure environment for teachers to learn the Clavinova’s technology,” says Dave Balanger of Maytan Music in Reno, NV. As a result of the Festival, Maytan sold Clavinova digital pianos to three teachers.
