Clavinova Festivals

More than 200 participants, ages three to 18, performed at the Clavinova Festival hosted by Heid Music in Green Bay, WI. The event was held at the Bay Park Square Mall.

Maytan Music in Reno, NV held its third Festival last April with 175 participants, starting at age four and including senior citizens. Dave Ballenger of Maytan Music coordinated the event and selected a non-competitive format. “We find that the teachers and kids like it better,” says Ballenger. In addition, he arranged to have an ensemble of seven members of the Northern Nevada Teachers Association perform on the Clavinova CVPs as a special treat for the participants.

Says Ballenger, “We work really hard to make each Festival successful and the payoff is great. It’s wonderful to see people get so excited about making music and know that we played a roll in that. Also, most of our Clavinova sales come from the Festival. We sold six units already as a result of our last event.”

“I’m amazed at the number of people coming into my store who have already heard about or participated in Clavinova Festivals,” continues Ballenger. “Reno is a fast growing city with people moving here from all over the country, so I get a unique opportunity to experience what a huge phenomenon the Clavinova Festivals have become.”
