Yamaha
Falls Into Autumn With The Warming Sounds of Clavinova The leaves on the trees are turning vibrant colors, the weather outside is getting crisp and families are gathering to share the colorful sounds of the newest additions to the ClavinovaĆ digital piano line. From the amazing feedback we've received from dealers and customers across the country, the Clavinova--and more specifically the new CVP90 series--are certainly captivating the consumer. Jim Lynch
The Yamaha Clavinova CVP Summer Tour--showcasing the new instruments in 18 cities coast to coast--was attended by more than 800 keyboard retailers and sales consultants from around the country. We'll share with you the overwhelming dealer response to the enhanced and added features of these models, as well as give you an inside look at the CVP dealer trainings that were held in California and Florida. Finally, to further our educational efforts on this new Clavinova series, we'll introduce you to the CVP CD-ROM, a new interactive, multimedia "brochure." The "shop-at-home" CD-ROM allows the customer to see and hear the product just as they would during a private demonstration.

Along with the CVP90 series,
other Yamaha digital pianos are making their presence known. We'll look at how Rockaway
Music is expanding their personal touch in New Jersey thanks to the encouragement of loyal
customers, piano students and teachers. And what would the fall selling season be without festivals to bring people together to make sweet music. We'll showcase the success Lauts' Family Music in Merritt Island, FL, has had with their Clavinova Festivals and introduce you to a young and very talented musician who has not only participated in all of Lauts' festivals but has won first place more than once. In continuing with our educational efforts, Yamaha hosted Keyboard Technology Seminars & Ensemble Festivals at California State University in Long Beach, the University of Houston in Texas and Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. All of the events are a part of the schools' annual series for music teachers and students, exploring the growing field of educational technology. Finally, we must acknowledge the people who make a difference in bringing music into the lives of others, including teachers, educators, dealers and keyboard specialists. We honor Dawn McDonald, music teacher at Parramore Music in Gainesville, FL, as the newest inductee to the Keyboard Encounters Teacher Hall of Fame. We'll also take you to the University of North Alabama where, thanks to the help of Ryan Piano in Florence, AL, students now have a state-of-the-art piano lab complete with 16 new Clavinova CLP411 digital pianos. Last, but certainly not least, Yamaha welcomes our newest addition to the keyboard specialist family-Dane Madsen. A native of San Diego, Madsen's interest in synthesizers and computers began at age 12 when he owned his first electronic keyboard. At just 22 years of age, Madsen already has an extensive background of demonstrative keyboards and has performed all over the world. As we fall into another season, the beautiful sounds of the Clavinova will continue to fill communities across the country. We expect this Fall to set new records in Clavinova sales. Thank you for joining us. |
