DUO TIMES TWO
PERFORMS AT NEW
ARTS CENTER
GALA BENEFIT

he Eichelberger Performing Arts Center in Hanover, PA hosted a gala benefit performance last November, featuring Duo Times Two, a group made up of two piano duos. The benefit, which raised funds for the restoration and renovation of the Performing Arts Center, also marked the first time the Center's two new Yamaha C6 Polished Ebony grand pianos were played publicly.

The gala was a smash success, netting more than $17,000. "The goal is to raise $1.5 million and it doesn't seem far off. The amount from the benefit put us at $900,000," says Mary Ann Fiery, a member of the Eichelberger Center's Board of Directors and Duo Times Two pianist. "We feel comfortable in anticipating a total of $1 million by the end of 1998."

The Eichelberger Performing Arts Center will formally open in the spring of 1999.
