YAMAHA ANNOUNCES
NEW YAMAHA STARS

chieving recognition as a Yamaha Signified TouchStone Award Recipient (STAR) is no simple feat. STAR certification first requires proven excellence in both sales and customer relations at an authorized Yamaha piano dealership, and acceptance into the rigorous training program is only the beginning. STARs enter into a demanding course of study, pass a qualifying examination, and take a tour of the Yamaha Music Manufacturing facility at Thomaston, Georgia. The entire process may take over a year to complete.

Since February 1997, when the first Yamaha salesperson achieved STAR status, program administrator Dick Cruise has shepherded approximately 230 dealers through the qualifying process.

"Qualifying for Yamaha's national TouchStone program and becoming a STAR is a high honor," says Cruise. Congratulations to the following salespeople and authorized dealerships, all recently graduated Yamaha STARs!

Arthur Doran of Boston Organ and Piano, Natick, MA; Joyce Cochran of Brook Mays, Houston, TX; Harold Niver of Clinton's Pianos, Rocky Hill, CT; Paul V.
