SESAME STREET CELEBRATES
30TH ANNIVERSARY WITH
VERY SPECIAL FRIENDS

n honor of the 30th anniversary of the Children's Television Workshop's legendary "Sesame Street" show, Rosie O'Donnell and her entire crew became guests of the neighborhood for the day.

Rosie and muppet co-host Baby Bear, along with long time neighborhood residents Big Bird, Elmo, Bert, Zoe, Rosita, and Prairie, were joined by a star studded cast, including Julia Roberts, Whoopi Goldberg, Ruth Buzzi, and Roberta Flack, in a dazzling array of sketches. A Yamaha grand piano was the gathering place for the show's sing alongs.

"So many muppets were included in the songs, we had to request the largest piano Yamaha had," exclaims Lori Seid, O'Donnell's music coordinator. To accommodate the musical ensemble, Yamaha delivered a CFIIIS concert grand piano. The show aired this past November, with the entire cast singing a medley of "Sesame Street" favorites, including "Sunny Day," "Rubber Ducky," and the classic, "Who Are the People in Your Neighborhood?"

"Yamaha always takes good care of us," says Seid. In addition to supplying the CFIIIS concert grand for the "Sesame Street" show, Yamaha previously provided pianos for guests of the "Rosie Show," including Bette Midler, Kathy Lee Gifford, and Barry Manilow.
