The 9th Annual Idyllwild Festival, nestled in the mountains amidst stunning natural beauty, "was our best event ever," says Nancy Harrison, Festival co-chair and publicity chairperson. "David Benoit was a tremendous crowd-pleaser and we could not have shoehorned even one more person into the amphitheater for his performance on a Yamaha concert grand piano." Yamaha is the official piano of Jazz in the Pines. This year $44,000 was raised to provide scholarships for gifted students at the Idyllwild Arts Academy, one of only three private accredited secondary school arts academies in the United States.
