By using the same high-grade bar material and bar surface treatment as high-end Yamaha vibraphones, the YV-1605 produces a clear, focused tone with a very broad dynamic range. Yamaha has integrated many of the same design elements found in Yamaha professional vibraphones into this new intermediate level instrument.

'The YV-1600 has been an extremely successful product for Yamaha for 20 years,' says Troy Wollwage, marketing manager, Yamaha Percussion. 'Since that time, new ways of tuning and new methods of bar manufacturing have been incorporated into this upgraded model. The YV-1605 is truly an outgrowth of the experience and knowledge that the Yamaha Percussion team has gained.'

The durable height-adjustable frame and oversized pedal allow comfortable playing positions, while the lower crossbar support and horizontal leg supports maintain stability and playability. Non-graduated bars help to keep the instrument compact while the 1 1/2-in. width and 1/2-in. thick bars allow projection and full tone.

Currently available, the YV-1605 Intermediate Vibraphone carries an MSRP of $4494.00. A drop cover is included with every purchase.
