You can turn on/off a Yamaha network receiver or control playback on it from the Music Commander if they are connected to the same network. This feature will be compatible with Yamaha network receivers sequentially. As of September 2009, the MusicCAST2 system supports the following Yamaha network receivers (with firmware update). As necessary, check the firmware version of your network receiver and update the firmware.
Network receiver |
Firmware version supported by MusicCAST2 |
RX-V2065 |
033.103.026 or later |
RX-V3900 |
1.08 or later |
RX-Z7 |
1.08 or later |
YMC-700 |
1.02 or later |
If your network receiver supports the network standby function, activate it to allow the MusicCAST2 system to remotely power on the network receiver.
When controlling a network receiver from the Music Commander, GUI operations on the network receiver side will be restricted. If you want to operate the GUI on the network receiver side, unselect the network receiver in the “Zone” screen.
For information on available functions on your network receiver, refer to the manual supplied with it.
