Yamaha Corporation announces the release of its Pacifica Professional and Pacifica Standard Plus electric guitar.

Yamaha began sales of electric guitars and electric basses in 1966, and for over 50 years now has developed and sold a diverse selection of products, ranging from beginner to professional models. Since its debut in 1990, the Pacifica series of electric guitars has been a favorite amangst guitarists who demand excellent playability and a wide range of sound possibilities, fit for a variety of music genres.

As the next evolution of the Pacifica series, the new Pacifica Professional and Pacifica Standard Plus models were designed for guitarists seeking to express themselves with their own ideal sounds. With a new body construction made possible by Yamaha's Acoustic Design technology and new ReflectoneTM pickups created in collaboration with Rupert Neve Designs, the guitars deliver well-balanced tone with solid lows and sparkling highs.

The guitars also feature a new neck shape and a neck joint heel that offers easier access to the uppermost frets for improved playability, allowing guitarists to immerse themselves in their own expression with stress-free performance. Fingerboard options include both rosewood and maple, and bodies are available in a variety of vibrant new finishes, inspired by Japanese city pop artwork and the sun-soaked vibes of Southern California. Guitarists can choose the color that speaks to them.

2.Immerse yourself in performance with exceptional playability

Body contour has been optimized for playing comfort that feels natural, and the slim C-shape neck profile fits easily in the hand, with an improved shape that offers easy access to all positions on the fingerboard. The neck heel makes playing even the uppermost frets easy and comfortable, allowing guitarists to immerse themselves in stress-free performance.

The back of the neck features a satin finish that highlights the natural wood feel while offering smooth, friction-free playability. Fingerboards are available in two varieties: Rosewood fingerboards, which are valued for their warm tone and smooth attack, and maple fingerboards, which provide a brighter tone and a snappier attack. The Pacifica Professional model features a 10-14" compound-radius fingerboard*1 for even more extraordinary playability.

Originally popular during the 1980s, Japanese city pop music has seen a global resurgence in recent years. The new Pacifica body colors were inspired by city pop album artwork, which depicts the sun-soaked vibes of Southern California using a Japanese sense of color. Guitarists can choose the color that speaks to them.
