Dave McClain

A Yamaha Artist since 2009, Dave McClain was born in 1965 in Frankfurt, Germany. Dave is the drummer of the Grammy nominated heavy metal band Machine Head.
Influenced by such drummers as Tommy Aldridge, Peter Criss and Neil Peart, Dave's hard hitting style blend elements of rock, punk and classic thrash in a way that creates a massive sonic voice behind the kit.
Dave joined Machine Head in 1995 and has also played for such notable metal bands such as S.A. Slayer, Murdercar and Sacred Reich. Machine Head's 8th studio album "Bloodstone and Diamonds" was released in November 2014, followed by an extensive "An Evening With" world tour. During this tour, the band performed record breaking 2 1/2-3 hour sets each night with a constantly changing set-list spanning the band's 20 plus year career.
