Minnesota International Piano-e-Competition
2008 e-Piano Junior Competition—Become a Volunteer!
Thank you for your interest in becoming a host family for one of the 20 contestants who have been selected to compete in the Minnesota International Piano-e-Competition. Contestants will begin arriving in the Twin Cities on July 3rd and will be staying in the Hamline dormitories for the duration of the competition. Host families will not be asked to house the students, instead families are asked to assist one contestant throughout the duration of the competition. We hope you will find that sharing your time with one of these outstanding young artists will be a rewarding and enriching experience for you and your family.

The following is a list of responsibilities for each host family:
  1. Pick-up and drop-off at airport
  2. Help with exchanging money or other necessary errands
  3. Attend all of your contestant's rounds and encourage them with messages and personal attention
  4. If the contestant would like to, you might arrange some “down” time from the stresses of competing. This could be dinner with your family, an outing, or other activities.

If you would like more information, please contact Barb Benn at (952) 943-1172. Thank you very much for considering hosting these fine young artists.
All performances, with exception for concerto finals are now available on our videos page.
MIDI files from all solo performances for the Minnesota International Piano-e-Competition are now available on our MIDI files page.
