Minnesota International Piano-e-Competition
2011 e-Piano Junior Competition—Become a Volunteer!
Thank you for your interest in becoming a host family for one of the 25 contestants who have been selected to compete in the e-Piano Junior Competition. Contestants will begin arriving in the Twin Cities on June 30-July1st and will be staying in the Hamline dormitories for the duration of the competition. Host families will not be asked to house the students, instead families are asked to assist one contestant throughout the duration of the competition. We hope you will find that sharing your time with one of these outstanding young artists will be a rewarding and enriching experience for you and your family.

The following is a list of responsibilities for each host family:
  1. Help with exchanging money or other necessary errands
  2. Attend all of your contestant's rounds and encourage them with messages and personal attention
  3. If the contestant would like to, you might arrange some “down” time from the stresses of competing. This could be dinner with your family, an outing, or other activities.
  4. All contestants are traveling with their parents - it would be great if you could offer the parents an opportunity to get away while their children are practicing.

If you would like more information, please contact Barb Benn at (952) 943-1172. Thank you very much for considering hosting these fine young artists.
