Founded in 1934, The Cadets of Allentown, PA (formerly of Bergen County, NJ) are one of the oldest and one of the most successful drum corps in history, with nine DCI World Championship wins. The corps is often known for its progressive shows, incorporating innovative moves and non-traditional instrumentation.

In 2000, The Cadets began using Yamaha Brass, were named DCI Co-Champions and won the High Brass Award. After becoming an "All-Yamaha" corps in 2001, they have since won four consecutive High Percussion awards and a Championship victory in 2005.

As the Cadets celebrate their 75th anniversary, the Cadets will be revisiting Leonard Bernstein and his grand theater work, West Side Story! Anniversaries collide as WSS celebrated its launch on Broadway in 1957, the world celebrated the birth of Leonard Bernstein 90 years ago, and the Cadets, the oldest continually active drum corps in history, returns to the field with a modern day and always unique interpretation of perhaps the greatest musical of our time.
