JOB DESCRIPTION:
A leading consumer electronics manufacturer is seeking an individual to bring excellent presentation and curriculum development skills to our experienced sales training team. This individual should be experienced in all aspects of consumer electronics sales, curriculum development and possess exceptional public speaking talents. This position will serve as the primary product sales trainer for retail sales personnel and factory sales representatives.

Position Summary:
Candidate must have the ability to create and clearly communicate product, technology and sales training programs to audiences that include consumer electronics sales     personnel, custom installation    professionals and factory sales representatives.
This position has primary responsibility for conducting sales training nationwide to our network of resellers, covering all aspects of our consumer electronics product line.
This position will conduct all aspects of sales training programs, from the coordination of sales/product training schedules, transportation of samples, and creation of presentations.
This position will be responsible for testing and evaluating competitive products/technologies using this information to develop industry relevant curriculum.
Develop, update and maintain various training materials and information for use on all corporately owned websites. This includes writing original training programs supported with PowerPoint, Flash and video based tutorials.
Individual must be able to explain new product features and technical procedures in clear language that is easily understood by all audiences.
Candidate will work closely with internal/external sales and customer service teams to clearly identify consumer needs.
This is a key position to that supports Sales and Marketing teams in achieving set business objectives.

Primary responsibilities and duties:
Serve as primary trainer, delivering product and sales training curriculum to dealer sales personnel.
Travel nationally conducting live training events to our dealer accounts. Estimated travel time 35%.
Write and publish training content to post on internal or retailer supported eLearning websites supporting all sales and marketing objectives.
Write training content that can be effectively delivered by third party trainers.
Develop creative product and technology demonstrations to be used at tradeshows, sales meetings, new product launches and retail events.
Train factory reps, retail sales personnel and installers on all aspects of selling, configuring, using, and troubleshooting all of our home audio and video products.
Develop original training materials including, written training documents, video tutorials, eLearning modules and product demonstrations for use by both internal and external sales training staffs.
Communicate with product development staff to identify future product hardware and software improvements.
Partner with the rep firms to execute training sessions in local territories. Coordinate orders and delivery of training collateral, sample products and giveaways.
Support all internal department training initiatives while constantly exploring training process improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualifications include:
Highly self-motivated team player with excellent time management skills.
Trainer must thrive in a multi-tasking environment.
Must be driven to improve and grow own knowledge base by exploring and mastering new software tools and training techniques.
Excellent oral communication and writing skills (writing sample required).
Excellent live presentation skills required. groups typically less than 300 people.
Trainer must be equally comfortable and effective in front of a wide range of audiences, from experienced veterans to first time retail sales personnel and consumers.
Must be proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Must be proficient in with Adobe Suite software (Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash)
Non-linear video editing experience is a plus. (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Vegas Pro)
Experience with all aspects of video production, script writing, story boarding, lighting, camera work and editing a plus.
Experience with writing eLearning curriculum for an effective blended learning experience for all retail and installation personnel.
Candidate must be business savvy, mature, innovative and strategic, an out-of-the-box-thinker.
5-6 years sales experience in consumer electronics. Sales experience of home audio and video products is a plus.
Custom home audio and video integration, system design and installation experience is beneficial.
Ability to effectively manage demanding professional schedule and operate under pressure, both on your own and in a team environment.
Bilingual capabilities in English/Spanish a plus.
BA/BS Degree in technical discipline preferred.
Valid Drivers License with clean DMV record required.
