BUENA PARK, Calif. Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. has received two nominations for its digital consoles from the Mix Foundation for Excellence in Audio.

The Yamaha
PM1DV2 is nominated for a TEC Award in the Sound Reinforcement Console Technology category and the Yamaha
LS9 is nominated for an award in the Small Format Console Technology category. Winners will be announced at the 23rd Annual
Technical Excellence and Creativity (TEC) Awards to be held on Saturday, October 6 at the New York Marriott Marquis, on the second night of the 123rd AES Convention.
Nominations in the 16 categories of Technical Achievement (product design) and nine categories of Creative Achievement (sound production) were made by a select panel of more than 100 audio industry professionals for products and projects released or completed during the eligibility period of April 1, 2006, to March 31, 2007. Online voting opens on August 1, with ballot guides sent with the August issue of
Mix magazine, mailed to more than 42,000 BPA-qualified subscribers.

The TEC Awards ceremony, founded in 1985 by
Mix magazine, is the world’s most prominent forum honoring outstanding achievement in professional audio production and product design. Monies raised by the TEC Awards support programs that educate audio professionals and the general public about hearing health, and also endow scholarship funds for students of the audio arts and sciences at major colleges and universities.
The Mix Foundation for Excellence in Audio is a 501(c)(3) charity headquartered in Walnut Creek, California.
