VERSION 2 SOFTWARE FOR PM5D AND PM5D RH: will be available during the second quarter of 2007. The new software, which will be available as a free download, adds more than 30 new features based on input from the company's vast customer base of engineers, sound companies and contractors. New features include Virtual Soundcheck, which allows for an easy switch between live inputs and inputs from a multi-track recorder. Version 2 also includes new Effect Library Programs: De-Essor, add-on VCM (Virtual Circuitry Modeling) effects now built-in, such as analog modeled compressors and EQs (Comp 276, Comp260, EQ601), and OpenDeck tape simulation. Effects can be used as additional 31-band GEQs, and all GEQs can be switched to PEQs. The Channel Move feature allows channels to be moved for layout reorganization.
YAMAHA DSP5D, DCU5D, ADK LYVE TRACKER: The Yamaha DSP5D is a stand-alone unit that functions as a DSP-expander for the PM5D digital console, expands the capabilities of the PM5D to 96 mono plus 16 stereo input channels, includes two additional card slots, with more effects and dynamics processing, and can be used with a PC and Yamaha Studio Manager software. When using ADK's new 4U rack-mounted LYVE Tracker, which is available in three models and based around a Steinberg Nuendo 3 or Cubase 4 audio engine, PM5D can also provide a

recording solution capable of up to 192 simultaneous tracks. When a PM5D is used in conjunction with the new DCU5D Ethernet Audio Cascade Unit and a DSP5D, the DSP5D can be set in a remote location and controlled from the PM5D up to 100 meters using a CAT5, doubling the mixing power of the console's input channels, effects processors and other console connectivity features.
DME digital mixing engine
|
YAMAHA DME VERSION 3: DME Series Version 3 firmware upgrade will be available for all Yamaha DME digital mixing engines as a free download effective April 20, 2007. This major upgrade significantly enhances the functionality and versatility of the DME series product line, which includes the DME64N and DME24N, DME Satellite Series products including CobraNet compatible DME8i-C, DME8o-C, DME4io-C, and EtherSound compatible DME8o-ES and DME8i-ES. Two new features that will be especially useful in the house of worship and corporate presentation markets include an Auto Gain Control component that automatically compensates for variations in the level of a speaker's voice, and Auto Mixer II, which provides an over-ride function and automatic output level control, useful in applications that do not require the presence of an experienced audio operator.
NEXO GEO S1230 |
NEXO GEO S 1210 and S 1230: Yamaha will exhibit two new models within the NEXO GEO S Series speaker product line, ideal for small to-medium size clubs and lounges, houses of worship, and regional sound companies with rental applications, sharing many of the same characteristics of the other boxes within the GEO S speaker line. The GEO S 1210 and 1230 provide legendary NEXO sonic innovation and high performance in an affordable single-box system.
LS9 Console |
YAMAHA LS9 CONSOLE: The 32- and 64- input consoles, designed specifically for sound reinforcement requirements within small to medium sized houses of worship, regional sound companies, and corporate audio/video presentation, can also be used as auxiliary mixer/channel expanders for the M7CL and PM5D consoles. The LS9 series console is housed in a small footprint frame, and consists of built-in mic pre amps on the first layer of both the 16- and 32- input consoles. The console shares the same sound quality, built-in effects, EQ and dynamics processing as that of the M7CL console.
YAMAHA Tn AMPLIFIERS: The 2 ohm, UL-approved Tn Series amplifiers provide plenty of power to drive line array speakers such as the NEXO GEO Series, as well as the PS Series and Yamaha's Installation Series. Three models are available and range from the T5n, which delivers 2300W (stereo at 4 ohms), 5000W at 4 ohms bridged; the T4n, which delivers 2000W (stereo at 4 ohms), 4400W in 4 ohms bridged mode; and the T3n, which delivers 1400W (stereo at 4 ohms), 3800W at 4 ohms bridged. The input gain level for all models is 26dB.
