AES New York Marks Launch Of Rolling Showroom
— Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. launched its Rolling Showroom, a state-of-the-art, 53 double-expanding trailer during AES 2009 in New York City. —

AES NEW YORK MARKS LAUNCH OF ROLLING SHOWROOM BUENA PARK, Calif.—Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. launched its 'Rolling Showroom', a state–of–the–art, 53' double–expanding trailer during AES 2009 in New York City. The vehicle, constructed by Century Industries of Sellersburg, Indiana, will make appearances across the U.S. and Canada at select national tradeshow events, regional events including houses of worship–based events and Yamaha Commercial Audio Training Sessions (YCATS).

The rolling showroom which has been designed with Cat6 infrastructure, to support various digital audio networks, is a mobile demonstration/showroom trailer that houses Yamaha PM5D, M7CL, and LS9 digital consoles, TXn amplifiers and NXAmps, DME processors, SB168–ES Stage Box units, AD8HRs, NAI–48ES units, the new MY16–AUD card by Audinate, as well as other legendary Yamaha commercial audio products. A separate speaker demo room has been created to provide a discreet listening area and will feature products from both the Yamaha and NEXO speaker lines.

"We created the truck to give Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems a large, but complete, presence at smaller events," states Marc Lopez, marketing manager, Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. "The truck has been in development for several years, and we found it especially fitting to officially launch our new baby at this year's AES show."

The spacious trailer design features three individual compartments that create a 15' wide interior floor space when fully expanded. The center compartment, at 29' x 15', houses the Yamaha equipment. All of the equipment is active and connected to an EtherSound audio network. The forward compartment serves as meeting room complete with multi–media capabilities. The aft compartment is a 16' X 15' room that can be configured in various ways including a speaker demo space, a classroom space with full media capabilities, or can be customized to meet the needs of a particular event.

"It has been an amazing and highly positive experience working with Century to build this one of kind vehicle" states Daniel Craik, YCAS House of Worship Marketing Manager, who was tapped to oversee the project. "Every step of the way presented new challenges that didn't even seem to faze the Century engineers. They just solved the problem and moved on with a smile."

The YCAS Rolling Showroom truck was recently previewed at the 53rd General Council of Assemblies of God (Orlando, FL), The Worship Summit (Willsboro, NC), and TRG TechXplosion taking place in early October.
