Yamaha PM5000 Analog ConsoleBUENA PARK, Calif. — As the market shifts toward offering customers more affordable analog mixing solutions, Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. has announced that it will cease worldwide production of the PM5000 sound reinforcement console. The final production model has been purchased by Clair Global (Lititz, Pa.). "The Yamaha PM5000 is an ideal transitional product in that it combines a familiar interface with elements of analog and digital," says Clair president, Troy Clair. "It is also a great transitional tool for engineers who may not be fully convinced to make a complete move into digital. Yamaha has always listened to the customer, and the PM5000 was certainly a great example of creating a mixing tool based on real world research."

Officially launched six years ago, the Yamaha PM5000 is the most advanced analog sound reinforcement console in its class, the culmination of Yamaha's extensive experience and expertise in professional console design and production, control interface design, and sound. An overwhelming portion of the sound quality of any console is determined by its head amplifiers, and Yamaha engineers paid special attention to head amp design in the PM5000 in order to simplify the circuitry as much as possible to minimize signal deterioration.

"We’re pleased that Clair Global, one of the largest sound companies in the world, has purchased the last high–end Yamaha analog console," states Larry Italia, vice president/general manager, Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. "There are a variety of engineers on the Clair roster who request analog, and by adding the last console in our PM5000 Series to the companys inventory, confirms Clair’s ongoing support of analog customers."
