Rhythmic Inspiration displays Napper's well-rounded stylistic approach to drumming by transcending music genres. While he may be known for his work with Gospel artists, some of which has earned him platinum and gold sales as well as Grammy certification, this DVD features Napper expressing himself in other styles such as Jazz Fusion, Odd Times, Funk, Big Band/Swing and Improv.

"Diversity, durability, consistency and tonality is what I can always rely on with Yamaha Drums. The simplicity in tuning and making adjustments is what I've admired most," says Napper. "Yamaha Drums are so musical and diverse, capable of accommodating any style."

Napper's background as a contemporary gospel drummer is extensive, with credits on projects by Donnie McClurkin, Donald Lawrence and The Tri-City Singers, Karen Clark-Sheard, Shirley Caesar, John P. Kee, Bishop T.D. Jakes and The Potter's House Mass Choir, to name a few.

A resident of Winston-Salem, NC, Napper counts his years on the road as his greatest professional achievement and credits it for instilling in him both discipline and endurance. Through his sophomore DVD, he aims to teach others how he transitioned from background artist to leading artist. For more information or to purchase the video, visit www.calvinnapper.com.

Aside from recording with both up-and-coming and established artists, Napper is the assistant musical director and drummer at Greater Cleveland Avenue Christian Church in Winston-Salem, NC. He plays the Absolute Birch Nouveau series of Yamaha drums.
