Colin McNutt's Biography

Colin McNutt is the Percussion Director and Arranger for the 10-time World Champion Cadets Drum Corps from Allentown, Pennsylvania. Colin came to The Cadets’ percussion staff in 2007 with a lengthy marching and drum corps resume, including his position as Director of Percussion and Arranger for the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps. He has served as The Cadets Percussion Caption Supervisor and Battery Arranger since 2009.

Colin has also previously taught and arranged music for the Star of Indiana, the Glassmen, and the Crossmen. In addition, he was a part of the design and instruction team for the internationally acclaimed production, Blast!.

He has made a career out of his passion for music and percussion, while also completing a double major in music education and classics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. When not instructing drum corps, Colin instructs and arranges for the University of Massachusetts Minuteman Marching Band, and conducts clinics for the percussion companies Avedis Zildjian, Remo, Vic Firth, and Yamaha. He also writes music for some of the top marching bands in the United States, Canada, Thailand, and Japan.
