Drummer Kris Castillo was born and raised in New Jersey, just minutes away from New York City. Kris began his drumming career as a student at the famed NYC school "The Drummers Collective". Here he studied with world-renowned teachers such as Ian Froman, Peter Retzlaff and many more. Kris has also studied with drum icons such as Keith Carlock, Steve Smith and many more. Kris has had the opportunity to work with the best as well since Kris owns his own drum cartage company in NYC. Kris has worked with the likes of Vinnie Colaiuta, Manu Katche, Steve Ferrone, and Dave Weckl to name a few. Today, his company caiters to most of the elite drum community of NYC.
Kris Castillo has been recording and touring Latin America which such Latin artists such as Salida 7, Juan Carlos Alvarado, and Vanessa Vissepo. You can hear Kris on records such as "Tu Palabra Cantarte" by world-renowned Spanish Christian artist Juan Carlos Alvarado, as well as Salida 7's sophomore album "Rey Del Universo". Most resent Kris recorded 2 live records with Puerto Rican Christian pop artist Vanessa Vissepo that is titles "Mis Pasos, y Mi Corazon, which was also released as DVD as well.
Kris has also been recording out of his own recording studio which, when home has him busy playing 24 hours a day.
