Wes Borland on Warped Tour With From First to Last
— Borland Also Fronting New Band Black Light Burns —
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (June 13, 2006) — Yamaha artist Wes Borland will be playing bass for the emo/post-hardcore band From First To Last on the upcoming Van's Warped tour from June 15 through August 13. Borland will be using the Yamaha ATTLTDII Billy Sheehan Signature Bass and the BB414 electric bass. The tour kicks off in Columbia, Md. and continues throughout major cities in the U.S. and Canada.

Borland and his musical talents have been very much in demand recently. He has contributed to Rob Zombie's upcoming album, played all the bass on From First To Last's latest album Heroine, and is finishing up the debut CD of his own band Black Light Burns. In January 2007, Borland will also unveil his Yamaha signature guitar, which he helped design.

"Yamaha Guitars is proud to have such a well-respected artist on its roster. Wes is very passionate and enthusiastic about every project he undertakes, so expect big things from this really talented musician," remarks Mike Tempesta, artist relations manager for Yamaha Guitars.

The collaboration between From First To Last and Borland will not end with this summer's Warped Tour. Borland's Black Light Burns plans on opening for From First to Last on a U.S. club tour this fall with Borland playing back to back sets for both bands. Danny Lohner (Nine Inch Nails), Josh Eustis (Telefon Tel Aviv), and Josh Freese (A Perfect Circle, Nine Inch Nails) worked on Black Light Burns' debut Cruel Melody, which is slated for a fall release.

Probably best known for his elaborate face paint and black-tinted contact lenses as guitarist for Limp Bizkit, Borland has also been a member of bands including The Damning Well, Eat the Day, and Big Dumb Face.
