DR. STEVEN L. ROSENHAUS (b. 1952) is a composer, arranger, and conductor whose music has been heard across the United States, Canada, Europe, as well as in Israel and Japan. His concert music has been called "clever, deftly constructed and likable" by The New York Times, and Back Stage magazine has called his music and lyrics for the off-Broadway show Critic "sprightly, upbeat, and in the ballad repertory, simply lovely." Performers have included the United States Navy Band (Washington, DC) and United States Naval Academy Band (Annapolis, MD), the Dresden Sinfonietta, the Meridian String Quartet, fellow Yamaha Piano Artist Laura Leon, cellist Andre Emilianoff, clarinetist Guido Arbonelli, and many others. Dr. Rosenhaus serves as Adjunct Assistant Professor at New York University's Department of Music and Performing Arts Professions, where he teaches composition of concert music and for musical theater, and at Nassau Community College (SUNY).

Volume I of The Etude Project is scheduled for publication by Music-Print Productions (distributed by LudwigMasters) in October 2008. Recent works include FAIR WINDS AND FOLLOWING SEAS, FANFARE, THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD, and BANG!, all for concert band and premiered by the U.S. Navy Fleet Forces Band (Norfolk, VA), the U.S. Navy Band, the 108th U.S. Army Reserve Band, and the U.S. Naval Academy Band; FOR THE GIPSY IN MY SOUL for four harps; UNDERCURRENTS for saxophone quartet; IN THE CAVE OF AEOLUS for flute quartet; and WALTZ RHAPSODY for piano.
