"It's no wonder why so many great drummers sign with Yamaha and stay with Yamaha. I could tell you it's because the drums sound great in any setting, which is true. Or that the hardware is hands down the best, which even endorsers of other companies have conceded to me. Or that the gear is available and recognized all over the world, which is also true.

But the main reason we all stay is because Yamaha is a great company. Corny as it sounds, it's like a family that cares deeply about the players, and about the instruments. And like any family, they grow together.

There's no other company I'd rather be with; no other drum I'd rather play."
Biography:
Clint de Ganon, from Hastings-on-Hudson, NY, started drum lessons at 6 years old. Before leaving high school, he'd studied with Sonny Igoe, been tutored by Mel Lewis, played for Buddy Rich, and was presented with drumsticks from Gene Krupa himself. His fate was sealed early on.

Clint went on to college for classical training with the timpanist and percussionist of the NY Philaharmonic.

To date, Clint's played on over 1,000 recording sessions and over 75 tours.

For 7 years, Clint played drums with Hiram Bullock's band, a power trio that featured the singing and playing of Hiram, Clint and legendary bassist Will Lee. The band made 5 recordings, and toured no less than 25 times.

Recently Clint joined guitarist John Tropea's band, which features another legendary bassist, Anthony Jackson. On Tropea's lastest recording, "Standard Influence 2," Clint shares the drum chair with Steve Gadd.

Some of the other the artists Clint's toured and/or recorded with are The Blues Brothers Band, Bob James, Tom Scott, Michael Franks, Special EFX, Blood, Sweat & Tears, Chuck Loeb, Curtis Stigers, Art Garfunkel, Billy Preston, Warren Bernhardt, Mark Cohn, The New York Voices, Mitch Forman, Cornell Dupree, Cissy Houston, Edgar Winter, and Linda Eder.

On television, Clint's appeared with the Saturday Night Live Band, and has performed with various artists on David Letterman, MTV, Bravo, Good Morning America, & The Today Show.
